The KL university building is located in the heart of the Krems vineyards, on the threshold of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Wachau region and in the middle of the Krems Campus, the most beautiful university location in Austria. As a one of the finest event locations in the university town of Krems, it offers state-of-the-art event halls for hire. Open and modern, fitted with state-of-the-art infrastructure, contemporary interior design and technology, these rooms are ideally suited for scientific congresses and symposia, as well as for corporate events, lectures, and seminars, etc.

The spacious and well-lit foyer of the KL teaching and research building is ideal for buffets and exhibitions and also serves as a reception zone for guests. A modern information desk is available for registrations and providing information to visitors. The banquet hall, the auditorium, the skylounge and the various seminar rooms all meet the requirements of a state-of-the-art events facility. On the Top: The flat roof of the teaching and research wing features a terrace with a breathtaking view across the Danube to Göttweig Abbey.

Please note that we are not solely an event location, and that classes are held at the university from September to the end of June, with almost 500 students. We will always endeavour to accommodate your scheduling requests, but must sometimes ask you to be flexible.

Auditorium

Between tradition and innovation – this classic auditorium is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and theatre-style seating ascending towards the rear. The welcoming and brightly lit hall is the perfect location for your event. Integrated into a modern interior design, it combines the characteristic flair of a traditional lecture hall with the requirements of a state-of-the-art event location. It can also be hired in combination with the foyer, e.g. for a reception or exhibition.

Banquet hall

150 people, cinema seating, 180 m²

Open and modern – these are the attributes of KL’s banquet hall. Equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and technology, the event hall is equally suitable for academic congresses and symposia as it is for corporate festivities, lectures, etc. Partition walls can be used to flexibly divide the ballroom into two separate rooms that can be accessed and used separately.

On the (roof) Top – situated on top of the flat roof of the teaching and research wing is the jewel in the crown of the KL University building, the Skylounge: The state-of-the-art hall is ideal for exclusive events, high-profile lectures and symposia and for special celebrations. The highlight of the Skylounge is a terrace with a breathtaking view over the campus, the nearby vineyards and the Danube all the way to Göttweig Abbey. The hall seats up to 70 people and will transform any event into an extraordinary experience. It has a partition system that allows it to be easily and flexibly divided into up to four separate rooms that can be accessed and used independently.
