Division of Work, Organizational, and Economic Psychology

Mission Statement of the Division of Work, Organizational, and Economic Psychology

The field of work and organizational psychology provides evidence-informed knowledge on people, work and organizations. Its purpose is to improve organizations and management practice, as well as to inform and promote the design of decent and meaningful work.

Our group at Karl Landsteiner University blends research in the field of work and organizational psychology with research on individual differences to understand how employees deal with work demands in terms of their well-being and effective functioning. For that purpose, we focus on self-regulation, self-evaluation, personality, and motivation at work; as well as important workplace outcomes such as job performance and learning, job satisfaction, effective functioning in diverse teams, etc..
