Campus library

The University Library at the Krems Campus is available to all students, instructors and researchers at Karl Landsteiner University of Health Sciences under a cooperation agreement with the University of Continuing Education Krems.

Cooperation focuses on the following areas:

  • The library as a place of learning: The library offers reading spaces and a study room equipped with PCs.
  • The KL textbook collection: Printed holdings can be used in the library or checked out (see library catalogue).
  • Services for KL students and staff: Interlibrary loans, ordering articles, introduction on how to use the campus library
  • Walk-in access to e-resources of the University of Continuing Education Krems: Some databases and e-journals can be accessed in the library (from the library’s computers or via its Wi-Fi connection), but not remotely*.

* For electronic resources that can be accessed by members of KL and the university hospitals both locally and remotely, see:

The campus library is open to the public. New KL students and staff automatically receive a library account at the beginning of the semester. The library sends out an email for this purpose with a request to update your password (or to create one for the first time). KL student and staff ID cards can also be used as library cards. You can use the login data for your library account to place interlibrary loans, order articles, place a hold on borrowed books or renew the books you have borrowed. Our library staff is happy to answer your questions and to provide you with information and training.
