Completion of artwork at the wall of Justizanstalt Stein
New artwork at the outside wall of penal institution Stein
With numerous guests from politics, art and culture the rector of KL, Dr. Rudolf Mallinger, mayor Dr. Reinhard Resch and head of department art and culture of Land Niederösterreich Mag. Hermann Dikowitsch, opened the project of artistic design at the wall of Justizanstalt Stein. The artwork was named „06.04.45“.
Ramesch Daha, the artist who won the competition of Land Niederösterreich took up the challenge to design the 100 meter long and 7.5 meter high wall. The artist and her team transmitted excerpts - all in all 17 pages - of the list of imprisoned persons as blueprints on the prison.
