FIT4YOUniversity

The "FIT4YOUniversity" event is just around the corner and KL is once again involved as a project partner of IMC FH! Within the framework of workshops, young people between the ages of 14 and 19 will have the opportunity to get a taste of university life and experience science and research at first hand.

Dr. Patrick Erber from the KL Competence Centre for General and Family Medicine will kick things off on 23 August with his workshop on "The Natural Origins of Medicine". Participants will learn interesting facts about the intertwining of nature and modern medicine and, last but not least, what the willow has to do with fever, the opium poppy with pain and the lance viper with high blood pressure. Sniffles or allergies - what actually triggers asthma" will be examined in the DanubeARC workshop on 24 August. The team led by Dr.in Katarzyna Niespodziana will present the latest chip technologies and test procedures for identifying the different triggers of asthma as well as different therapy options. In the psychology workshop "Body & Mind" (Mag. Dr. Jürgen Goller) on 25 August, participants will experience the relationship between body and mind in three exciting stations (1st station: Fear and thoughts; 2nd station: Brain and body; 3rd station: Sport psychology - brain and performance).

We are looking forward to it!
