New KL website: More usabilty and new features
After a two-year development and implementation phase, the new website of Karl Landsteiner University www.kl.ac.at/en will go online on June 13, 2023.
On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of its founding, KL decided on an all-round renewal of its website and gave the go-ahead for the comprehensive relaunch of the site in June 2021. As a result, the digital flagship of KL has a modern design and impresses with its optimized user-friendliness, usability and clarity. Thanks to a well-defined menu structure and various graphic elements for orientation, users can quickly find all the information they are looking for. The extensive content in the three main segments University, Research and Studies & Continuing Education has been restructured and adapted to the user behavior of the central target groups. At the same time, the KL website offers new elements: In addition to the implementation of video clips, web user can now also consume the research blog and experience the spirit of KL online.
"We are pleased to start the next decade of KL with our new web presence," says Rudolf Mallinger, Rector of Karl Landsteiner University. "In line with our slogan `Inspiring Next Generations', we are thus also implementing our vision in the online area: We want to create a springboard for new ideas and future careers based on our values, so that we are able to play a decisive role in shaping the future of healthcare."
Analysis of requirements as the basis for implementation
The implementation was carried out within the framework of a comprehensive project plan. In the run-up to the development, the requirements, the needs of the target groups and the general user behaviour were worked out together with the consulting agency SpiralUp! in workshops with the various stakeholder groups. After an intensive selection process among eight national web agencies, the Viennese digital agency FONDA finally won the competition for the realization of the KL website.
