International Women's Day: KL is committed to promoting women in management positions

For the 98th time the International Women's Day will be celebrated on March 8th.

It originated as an initiative of socialist organizations in the period before the First World War in the struggle for equal rights, the right to vote for women and the emancipation of women workers and took place for the first time on March 19, 1911. The United Nations declared it United Nations Day for Women's Rights and World Peace.

At KL, 65% of administrative managers are currently female, and 70% of all women work at our university. The proportion of female professors, at one-third, is slightly higher than that of public universities, and a further increase would be desirable in the future.
