Transitionspsychiatrie

Teaching

A central task of the Research Centre Transitional Psychiatry is the training of students in the context of supervising academic theses as well as conducting continuing education events.

Training

An essential part of the research-guided teaching of the Research Centre Transitional Psychiatry is the supervision of bachelor's and master's theses of students of psychology and medicine of the KL in cooperation with the Department of Adult Psychiatry as well as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Tulln. Furthermore, there is the possibility of conducting PhD projects of KL in the study program Mental Health & Neurosciences.

Thematic foci of the currently conducted studies are diverse and cover a broad methodological spectrum from systematic literature reviews to secondary data analyses to current clinical survey studies. The students are also involved in the scientific training program of the University Hospital. In the future, it is also planned to supervise projects within the research module of the psychiatric residency (adult psychiatry) at University Clinic Tulln.

For further information on the preparation of bachelor and master theses, please contact the academic coordinator, Mag. Sylvia Dörfler, BSc (sylvia.doerfler@kl.ac.at).

Advanced training

The Research Centre offers various educational events (scientific meetings, case conferences and journal clubs) for interested students, clinical staff and research centre employees. These take place on Fridays from 13.15-14.00 p.m. at the University Clinic Tulln and are also open to external interested parties. For further information and the current topics, please contact the secretariat of the University Department of Psychiatry (psychiatrie@tulln.lknoe.at).
