  • Projektnumber: FFG4952809
  • Project management: Thomas Czerny, FH Campus Wien
  • Project partners: AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, Karl Landsteiner University for Health Sciences / Department of Water Quality and Health, OFI - Austrian Research Institute, Ecoplus. The Business Agency of Lower Austria
  • Project duration: 6 months from 13 October 2014

In the project "Knowledge transfer and exchange of experience on drinking water quality in buildings", concrete problems along the value chain "drinking water in buildings" are analysed and discussed in a carefully assembled consortium of companies with scientific partners. The four thematic areas are "piping", "water treatment in the house", "drinking water heating" and "fittings", with the main focus on maintaining the quality of drinking water. In moderated workshops, participants from the business community will learn about the current technology status quo, and the scientific partners will be made aware of the interests and problems of the companies. By exchanging their many years of experience, new technology and research focal points as well as services that are needed on the market will be identified, and a cooperation network between business and research institutions will be established in the long term. Essential for the success of this qualification project is a tailor-made curriculum that is compact in terms of content and time in order to enable the participants to use their personnel, time and financial resources sparingly, especially in this sector.
