Two members of the Department of Molecular Oncology and Hematology, headed by OA Univ.-Prof. Mag. DDr. Klaus Podar, received awards for their research projects at last month's annual OeGHO Congress in Innsbruck.

Congratulations to Tamara Gassner, MSc. and Dr. Osman Aksoy for the prizes awarded at the OeGHO & AHOP Spring 2023 Congress in Innsbruck. Tamara Gassner received the Poster Prize - Oncology for the paper "Impact of immune checkpoint inhibitors on bone turnover in cancer patients: in vitro studies and clinical correlate".

Dr. Osman Aksoy received the award for Best Submitted Abstract - Hematology for the abstract "Delineating CDK9-regulated molecular events for the development of rationally derived mutliple myeloma treatment strategies" endorsed by the Austrian Society for Hematology & Medicine.
