Cinema in the Kesselhaus

The Kino im Kesselhaus is the regional centre of a lively engagement with contemporary and historical, national and international film culture and presents challenging and stimulating programme cinema from Wednesday to Sunday throughout the year. It also opens its doors to other art forms such as concerts, readings, cabarets, puppet and children's theatre and makes a significant contribution to the cultural offerings of the Krems region. Special highlights are the film breakfast at the weekends, children's cinema for big & small cineastes on Sunday afternoons and an open air cinema under the stars in the summer months.

CHORyphae

Art and culture have played an important role at the Krems Campus for many years. On the initiative of Danube University Krems, the "CHORyphäen" - the Campus Krems choir - started in the winter semester 2011/2012. Under the direction of Cornelia Pesendorfer, the CHORyphäen rehearse every Thursday from 6.30 - 8.30 pm. If you would like to sing in the Campus Krems choir, please send an e-mail to cornelia.pesendorfer@donau-uni.ac.at . The CHORyphäen are a young a capella choir with a wide range of interests, occasionally instruments are used. The choir literature ranges from folk music from all directions and continents to jazz arrangements and pop songs as well as ancient, contemporary and experimental music. Everyone who wants to sing in a group with enthusiasm and consistency and who is curious about different musical styles is invited. The choir is primarily aimed at staff, students and alumni of Campus Krems and is also open to external choir singers and friends of Campus Cultur.

Campus Cultur

With public exhibitions, readings, concerts, performances and workshops, Campus Cultur also wants to make a contribution as a member of the Kunstmeile Krems. For this reason, Campus Cultur has been inviting artists as artists in residence to engage in dialogue with academics and researchers at the University of Continuing Education for several years.
