Food and drink

The canteen, cafés, bars and restaurants on the Krems campus provide for the physical well-being of students, lecturers and staff. Let yourself be spoilt by the wide range of offers.

Mensa

The cafeteria at the Krems campus is located in wing B and offers freshly prepared daily specials. The varied menu also includes vegetarian and vegan dishes as well as crisp salads, rich soups and fragrant curries. The "spaghetti corner" offers a variety of pasta. Enjoy all the dishes in a bright atmosphere - on the shady terrace or on one of the approximately 200 seats - to stay or to take away. Certified with the Austrian Eco-label, sustainability is lived in the Mensa - regional and seasonal products are a matter of course. From detergent to logistics, we take care of our environment.

Opening hours: Mon-Fri 11.00 a.m.-1.00 p.m.

Cafe Virginier

The Café Virginier is located in the middle wing of the old building of Danube University Krems. The name and interior design recall the history of the historic building as a former tobacco factory. Various coffees and refreshments, fresh salads, hot and cold snacks can be enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere both indoors and during the warm season in the guest garden in the heart of the campus. 9 internet terminals are available for spiritual nourishment. And of course, this establishment is also run sustainably - from snacks to electricity from the socket.

2 Stein

The 2Stein restaurant is located on Campus West. 2Stein is an excellent place to have breakfast. Or would you rather be pampered with steaks and sophisticated burger creations? All this is possible here in an extraordinary flair. Night owls will also get their money's worth here, let the day end comfortably with a snack or cocktail. Since the 2Stein has already become a national hotspot, we can only recommend a table reservation.

Film bar in the Kesselhaus

The FILMBAR is located in the middle of the campus and at the foot of vineyards. It offers seasonal lunch menus and healthy sandwiches and tapas, as well as regional and organic beer specialities. The wine selection places special emphasis on natural wines from near and far. Cocktails also play a major role.
