Use and perceptions of digital technology for daily life,
... physical activity and health information among former cardiac rehabilitation patients in Austria: A cross-sectional survey
Recent publication
Cardiac rehabilitation (CR) patients are encouraged to maintain a healthy lifestyle, including regular physical activity. Digital health technologies can support former CR patients in their daily lives. As little is known about the use and perception of digital technologies for secondary prevention by the respective clientele, five Austrian cardiac rehabilitation centres conducted a postal survey among their former patients. Based on the 117 returned questionnaires, the researchers identified facilitators and barriers to the use of digital technologies for healthier living. The participating centres, including the Institute for Preventive and Applied Sports Medicine (IPAS) at the Krems University Hospital, led by Clin. Ass. Professor Dr Andrea Podolsky, also listed features that users would like to see. The study has been published in the open access journal Digital Health.
