The Presynaptic α2δ Protein Family and Their Therapeutic Potential

Recent publication

The book "Ion Channels as Targets in Drug Discovery", published by Springer-Verlag, deals with drug research on various ion channels. Success stories and innovative research approaches are presented. In the chapter "The Presynaptic α2δ Protein Family and Their Therapeutic Potential", the Division of Physiology explains the role of the α2δ protein family in various diseases such as epilepsy, pain and restless legs syndrome. A better understanding of the role of the α2δ protein family in neurological disorders supports the development of new therapeutic approaches.
