Simultaneous Dry and Gel-Based High-Density Electroencephalography Recordings

Recent publication

In a collaboration between the Illmenau Technical University and the Division of Biostatistics and Data Science at Karl Landsteiner University, scientists compared the performance of gel and dry electrodes in simultaneous EEG measurements. Previously, the new high-density dry EEG electrodes had only been compared with gel electrodes in serial measurements. The research team developed a special EEG cap for simultaneous comparisons. The project was funded by the German Research Foundation, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the Free State of Thuringia with funds from the European Union and the Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme through Marie Skłodowska-Curie grants. The work was published open access in the journal "Sensors".
