Pulmonologists, rheumatologists, immunologists and thoracic radiologists from medical centres in Austria have jointly developed a recommendation for the early detection of interstitial lung disease that can be associated with rheumatoid arthritis. Clin. Assoc. Prof. DDr Klaus Hackner from the Division of Pulmonology at Krems University Hospital is the lead author of the expert paper together with Dr Lisa Hütter from Hietzing Hospital. Thanks to open access funding from the Karl Landsteiner University and the Medical University of Graz, the paper is freely available in "Zeitschrift für Rheumatologie".
