New guidelines for integrating the gender dimension in research

Research Service | Equality

Gender aspects are becoming increasingly important in national and international funding programmes and are taken into account in the evaluation of project proposals. The integration of the gender dimension into the research content is a mandatory award criterion in Horizon Europe. Gender-relevant aspects of research are assessed as part of the excellence criterion. The gender ratio in the research team is defined as a ranking criterion for projects with the same number of points. To assist with the consideration of gender aspects in funding applications at KL, the Research Management Unit has drawn up guidelines for the integration of the gender dimension in research.
