Molecular refinement of pilocytic astrocytoma in adult patients

Recent publiation

Pilocytic astrocytomas are benign brain tumours that occur mainly in children and young adults. Researchers have analysed the genetic profile of 79 adults with histologically diagnosed pilocytic astrocytomas and linked it to clinical data. The multicentre study has been published in the journal “Neuropathology and Applied Neurobiology”. The Institute of Clinical and Molecular Pathology of the Lower Austrian Central Region in St. Pölten provided data and samples.
