Allergies are one of the most important chronic diseases that greatly reduce our quality of life. Already 30 percent of the world's population is affected by allergies and the numbers are rising. The Danube Allergy Research Cluster (Danube ARC) is generating new forms of molecular diagnosis and therapy for people with allergies.

The focus of the research work particularly concentrates on the development of innovative methods for the early detection of allergic sensitisation and its prevention, in order to be able to effectively curb this widespread disease.
