Application procedure for employees

Have you found a position that interests you or do you want to send us an unsolicited application? Read here what the application process at KL looks like and what to expect.

STEPS IN THE APPLICATION PROCESS

The first step is to register on our application platform.

You can fill out the application and upload your documents right away, but you can also start and upload the missing documents and submit the application at a later date. Please upload the following documents:

  • Current CV
  • Letter of motivation
  • Proof of the highest level of education completed
  • List of publications (for academic positions)
  • References, other certificates if available

If you have any problems submitting your online application, please contact: bewerbung@kl.ac.at.

As soon as you have sent your application, you will be informed by e-mail that your submission has been successful - you have taken the first step.

After the application deadline, all applications are reviewed - this process can take several weeks.

If your assessment is successful, you will receive an invitation to an initial interview. This initial interview usually takes place on site at KL - but can also take place via MS Teams if you are far away.

For scientific positions, a scientific presentation is possible in this step.

After ranking the candidates after the first interview, the 2-3 candidates with the highest ranking are invited to a second interview.

We look forward to welcoming you to the KL team soon. Our HR department will start the on-boarding process and coordinate all the necessary starting formalities.

Once the contractual documents have been completed/signed, our HR department will coordinate all the formalities for your first day of work. You will be informed in good time when and where you should be on your first day and what training you will be expected to attend on your first day.

You will also be informed in advance about upcoming appointments such as employee photo shoots or events.

You will receive all your devices and basic training in the necessary systems. You will also receive a welcome folder and an invitation to your onboarding day - where you will learn even more about KL. Your line manager and colleagues will then take over the content-related training.
