EORTC consensus recommendations for the treatment of mycosis fungoides/Sézary syndrome

Update 2023

Recent publication

A new consensus paper on the treatment of cutaneous T-cell lymphomas mycosis fungoides and Sézary syndrome has been produced under the leadership of the Clinical Division for Skin and Veneral Diseases of the University Hospital St. Pölten. The recommendations from the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) expert group are an update of previous publications from 2006 and 2017. The document includes treatment options based on stage of disease, recommendations for first- and second-line therapy, and the evidence behind them. New additions include position statements on the use of the cytostatic drug chloromethine and the antibodies brentuximab vedotin and mogamulizumab. Recommendations on the use of interferon alpha are given, too. The guidelines include chapters on the care of older patients and supportive therapy. The paper has been published open-access in the European Journal of Cancer and is available to everyone involved in the care and treatment of mycosis fungoides and Sézary syndrome.
