A EUSEM statement with regard to the guidelines of the Society of Critical Care Medicine

Emergency airway management is a complex task for physicians, as the patients and their conditions are usually unknown and rapid action is required. The Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) has developed and published recommendations for the ventilation of patients in critical condition. The European Society of Emergency Medicine (EUSEM) has commented on these recommendations in an Open Access article in the "European Journal of Emergency Medicine" and added critical points. Luca Ünlü, a student on the Master's programme in Human Medicine at KL, is one of the authors.
