Recent publication
The insertion of a cochlear implant is considered standard therapy for age-related hearing loss. Physicians from the Division of Otorhinolaryngology at St. Pölten University Hospital have published the effects of combining a cochlear implant with music therapy in a person over 80 years old with hearing loss. The case report published in the journal "Audiology Research" describes the positive effects of the combination therapy on the patient´s quality of life.
