Dysphagia after stroke: research advances in treatment interventions

Recent publication

PhDr Michaela Trapl Grundschobr, MSc, conducts research at the Division of Neurology at Tulln University Hospital as part of a Research Time Out (RTO) on the topic of dysphagia after stroke. She is co-author of the review, which has been published in the journal "The Lancet Neurology". It summarises the treatment options for dysphagia after stroke. The researchers propose a minimum standard that should always be used and could be implemented even with limited resources. They list advanced additional therapies and provide an outlook on scientifically relevant approaches in the field of stroke-induced dysphagia.
