Researchers including Prof private lecturer Markus Stock, PhD summarise the areas of application and possible uses of microdosimetry in their review in the journal "Radiotherapy and Oncology". Using Microdosimetry the energy of ion beams in clinical therapy can be determined, but so far the technique has hardly been used in clinical settings. The authors see great potential for this methodology in complex therapy procedures such as particle therapy. Markus Stock is head of the Division of Medical Physics with an emphasis on particle therapy.
