... detailed clinical analysis, long-term outcome, and literature review in surgically managed epidural hematomas

Recent publication

Traumatic brain injuries can lead to epidural haematomas. Patient data from the years 2002 - 2014 were evaluated at St. Pölten University Hospital. The characteristics of the injury, the success rate of treatment and the mortality rate were compared with age and additional occurring craniocerebral injuries. The data, which was made freely available thanks to open access funding from Karl Landsteiner University, can be found in Frontiers in Surgery and is consistent with the limited data that has already been published in the literature.
