Many questions and problems can arise during your studies. Various offices support students at KL with information and counselling services on their way through their studies.
Study Services at KL offers information and individual guidance to clarify needs and interests in study and work matters. They are happy to assess individual possibilities and restrictions, to develop personal career goals, and will identify conflicts of orientation and decision. Furthermore, study services offer support in all questions concerning programme change or dropout.
The Team of Study Services is happy to answer all questions concerning study programmes on the phone or via e-mail, and is there for you personally on the ground floor of the X wing during opening hours.
For counselling at our university, we ask you to make an appointment in advance so that we can take sufficient time for you.

Ombuds Office for Students
In larger organisational and institutional structures, as KL University has become, there is a need for low-threshold and non-hierarchical approaches to solving problems as well as impartial, confidential and mediating action with regard to complaint management. These are, for example, ombudsman's offices that take care of mediating and resolving problems for groups of people or processes.
Therefore, our university has also decided to establish an ombuds office for students and to implement an ombudsperson. The target groups are applicants, students and graduates of Karl Landsteiner University. The function of the ombudsperson will be taken over by Dr. Brigitte Schigl as of 2 May 2022. Students' concerns can best be submitted by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Personal counselling is also possible by appointment.
