Ombuds Office for Students
In larger organisational and institutional structures, as KL University has become, there is a need for low-threshold and non-hierarchical approaches to solving problems as well as impartial, confidential and mediating action with regard to complaint management. These are, for example, ombudsman's offices that take care of mediating and resolving problems for groups of people or processes.
Therefore, our university has also decided to establish an ombuds office for students and to implement an ombudsperson. The target groups are applicants, students and graduates of Karl Landsteiner University. The function of the ombudsperson will be taken over by Dr. Brigitte Schigl as of 2 May 2022. Students' concerns can best be submitted by e-mail to ombudsstelle@kl.ac.at. Personal counselling is also possible by appointment.
