Entry Requirements

Prerequisites for admission to the Master's programme "Psychology" are:

  • the positive completion of a Bachelor's degree in psychology or another Bachelor's degree in psychology to be assessed for equivalence at a recognised domestic or foreign post-secondary educational institution.
  • knowledge of the language of instruction (German) at least at level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
  • the acceptance of a place of study on the basis of the order in the admission procedure.
  • if equivalence is generally given and only individual supplements to full equivalence are missing, additional courses and examinations to the extent of a maximum of 30 ECTS credits from the curriculum of the Bachelor's programme in Psychology may be prescribed in order to achieve full equivalence; these additional courses and examinations must be completed before or during the Master's programme.

Before admission, students are informed about §4, §6 and §7 of the Psychologists Act 2013 (BGBl. I No. 182/2013 as amended).
