Statistics Consultancy

Quality in research is a high priority for the Karl Landsteiner Private University (KL). In order to ensure this quality already in the course of the formulation of research questions for the design of scientific investigations, a "statistical ambulance" has been set up at the KL (Statistik Ambulanz).

Counseling is available free of charge to KL co-workers (clinicians, students and their supervisors). It is intended to help formulate well-thought-out research questions, to raise the quality of study design in the long term, and thus to enable high-quality publications that meet the high quality requirements of primary data in international peer review procedures.

Counseling sessions take place at the Karl Landsteiner Private University for Health Sciences in Krems. An appointment lasts approx. 45 minutes.

The counseling team consisits of: Univ. Prof. Peter Bauer, Professor emeritus of Medical Statistics of the Medical University of Vienna, a proven statistics expert with many years of experience in advising researchers and research teams, and Dr. Michael Weber, research associate at the Medical University of Vienna, teaching at the University of Vienna, at the FH Krems and expert in planning and evaluation of studies.

For clinicians with affiliation to the University Hospitals (Krems/Tulln/St.Pölten) we offer additional "ambulant services" on site within the scope of "Forschungsimpulse". Arrangements with Dr. Michael Weber have to be made in direct contact (mailto: michael.weber@kl.ac.at). Skype Name for online meetings: mweber71 (ONLY for agreed appointments!)
