Research coordination at Karl Landsteiner University of Health Sciences it intended as an access point to serve the interaction of scientific partners. it provides consultancy and orientation within the complexity of interdisciplinary activities - university clinics, education and research. it allows the exchange and development of ideas into projects by sorting out the proper conditions and framework to realise ambitous activities.
All of the University's researchers have access to a central funding service which coordinates applications for research grants from domestic and international funding bodies. The aim is to provide administrative and funding-related support and supervision, in order to help establish a research culture of international standing, as well as interprofessional integration of the University's scientific activities at all four of its locations.
Services include the initial search for funding opportunities through to advice on submitting a competitive proposal, drawing up a contract and completing the project/joint project in accordance with the respective guidelines. An informal research circle will be established to foster internal links on an ongoing basis, and new content will continually be made available – relating to the design of teaching programmes, bachelor or master theses, ideas for new cooperations or fresh insights into scientific questions that demand an interdisciplinary approach.
A database will be set up to document research activities. This will significantly simplify collaboration and help to facilitate operational processes and evaluation.
