Teaching

Physiology links the basic life science disciplines (biology, chemistry, physics, biochemistry), thereby equipping the students with the fundamental basis for coherently understanding functional processes in health and disease. At the heart of our teaching philosophy is therefore sparking interest and enthusiasm for the functioning of the human body.

Ultimately, students should understand the essentials of Physiology through experiencing teaching contents in lectures, readings, practical courses and, most importantly, discussions among themselves and others. Internalizing basic physiological mechanisms provides is the prerequisite for the future understanding of pathophysiological processes.
