Hämatologisches Tumorboard stärkt Krebsversorgung in Niederösterreich

Mit der Präsentation des ersten standortübergreifenden hämatologischen Tumorboards in Niederösterreich wurde ein wichtiger Schritt für die Versorgung von Patient mit Blutkrebserkrankungen gesetzt. Langfristiges Ziel ist ein landesweites Tumorboard-Netzwerk, das allen Krebspatient:innen in Niederösterreich Zugang zur besten Therapie und medizinische Versorgung gewährleisten soll.

KL Krems und Rotes Kreuz NÖ starten gemeinsames Ausbildungsmodul

Karl Landsteiner University of Health Sciences (KL Krems) and Rote Kreuz Niederösterreich/the Lower Austrian Red Cross (RKNÖ) are pooling their expertise in the training of paramedics. The aim is to prepare medical students at KL Krems for their work in a quality-assured manner and to promote the next generation in this voluntary care sector. In addition, the students gain a practical insight into emergency medicine and the rescue service.

For her article "A biallelic mutation in CACNA2D2 associated with developmental and epileptic encephalopathy affects calcium channel-dependent as well as synaptic functions of α2δ-2", Sabrin Haddad PhD MSc, research associate in the Division of Physiology at Karl Landsteiner University of Health Sciences, was awarded the prestigious "JNC Young Scientist Paper of the Year 2024 Award in Honour of Mark Smith".

As part of her work as a research assistant (pre-doc) at the Research Centre for Transitional Psychiatry at KL Krems, Marie Celine Dorczok MSc had the opportunity to complete an ERASMUS+-funded staff mobility (research internship) at Beacon Hospital in Dublin from 2 to 15 March 2025. Her stay was organised together with the KL International Office.
