Univ.-Prof. Dr. Andrea Olschewski, designated Rector of Karl Landsteiner University (KL Krems), has nominated Mag. Sabine Siegl-Amerer as Prorektor and Managing Director following the hearing process. The proposal was confirmed by the selection committee. The experienced economic expert in the field of higher education and education is set to continue her successful work at KL Krems in February 2026.

Erasmus+ Reisebericht

As part of my work as a PhD student in the Department of Pharmacology at Karl Landsteiner University of Health Sciences, I have been given the wonderful opportunity to take part in an Erasmus+ funded staff mobility programme (research internship) at the Translational Research Institute Australia at the University of Queenstown in Brisbane from 5 May 2025 to 6 June 2025. This practical course was organised in collaboration with the International Office at Karl Landsteiner University of Health Sciences. The aim of the practical course was to learn techniques through research work in another laboratory that I can also apply to my own research work at Karl Landsteiner University of Health Sciences.

For the second time in a row, the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) is supporting a project submitted by the Department of Physiology with the prestigious 1000 Ideas Programme Division of Physiology (Head: Prof. Dr Gerald Obermair) at the Karl Landsteiner University of Health Sciences. The 1000 Ideas Programme programme aims to facilitate particularly creative, daring and potentially ground-breaking research projects - projects that are deliberately located outside conventional scientific understanding.
