Uncomplicated robotic-assisted laparoscopic hysterectomy (RALH) in a peritoneal dialysis patient with endometrial cancer and clinical obesity - a case report

A case report from University Hospital St. Pölten shows that robot-assisted removal of the uterus is also possible in patients with uterine cancer and simultaneous peritoneal dialysis. Despite increased risks, for example due to obesity and dialysis treatment, the procedure went without complications. It is particularly remarkable that the patient was able to return to her usual therapy after a short switch to a different form of dialysis. The results emphasise the importance of close interdisciplinary cooperation for such complex interventions. The publication was supported by KL Open Access funding.
