tecnet | accent Innovation Award 2025: Call for Applications
Have you developed innovative research results or an invention with commercial potential? Does your work contribute to solving social challenges - for example in the areas of health, education, mobility or digitalisation?
Then take the opportunity and apply for the tecnet | accent Innovation Award 2025 by 17 November 2025!
The award is being presented for the sixth time and is aimed at academic staff, graduates and students at the

- University for Continuing Education Krems
- IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems
- Danube Private University
What can you expect?
In addition to attractive prize money, the award offers you the opportunity to present your research to a wide audience, make contacts with other researchers and receive valuable feedback from experts. Both basic and applied research projects can be submitted.
Coaching workshop for preparation
An accompanying workshop prepares you specifically for the presentation to the expert jury and provides insights into the path from research to commercial implementation.

Submission: How to participate
Submission deadline: Monday, 17 November 2025
Please send your documents digitally to: innovationaward@donau-uni.ac.at
To be submitted:
- Poster in A0 format (German or English)
- Curriculum vitae
- Declaration of consent from the supervisor, if applicable
Evaluation criteria - focus on your project
Use the following key questions to clearly present the potential of your research:
- What results have you achieved and what benefits do they bring?
- Who will benefit from your idea?
- What could a product or service based on your research look like?
- What problem does it solve?
- What next steps are necessary for implementation?
- Does your project contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)?
Presentation to the jury
The presentation will take the form of a 10-minute presentation to a jury consisting of representatives of the participating institutions as well as tecnet equity and accent Inkubator GmbH.
Please bring your printed poster (A0) to the presentation.
The presentation is not considered a publication.
Award ceremony & prize money
The exact date of the award ceremony will be announced.
The prizes are sponsored by tecnet equity NÖ Technologiebeteiligungs-Invest GmbH and accent Inkubator GmbH.
Prize money:
- Prize: € 1,500
- Prize: € 1,000
- Prize: 500 €
In the case of team submissions, the prize money will be divided among the team members.
