Survival and risk factor analysis in patients with septic arthritis : a retrospective study of 192 cases
Recent Publication
This retrospective study looked at the course of patients with septic arthritis - a rare but dangerous joint infection. The analysis of 192 cases showed that older people and people with chronic illnesses such as heart failure, cancer or kidney damage in particular have a significantly higher risk of dying as a result. The results make it clear how important early detection, close monitoring and targeted treatment are for this disease. The first author of the study is DDr. Melanie Schindler from the Division of Orthopaedics and Traumatology at Krems University Hospital.
