Gender-specific differences in severe native heart valve disease were studies using 5219 patient data from the VHD II EURObservational Research Programme. Prof. Dr JuliaMascherbauer, Head of the Division of Internal Medicine 3 at St. Pölten University Hospital, is the first author of the registry study. Gender-specific differences in the treatment of patients with severe native valvular heart disease were also analysed. The study has been published open access in the European Heart Journal.
