A review of the sequelae of post Covid-19 with neurological implications (post-viral syndrome)
Recent Publication
In a recent review article, Prim. Assoc. Prof. PD Dr Walter Struhal MSc FEAN and Dr Doaa Almamoori from the Division of Neurology at Tulln University Hospital shed light on the neurological consequences of post-Covid-19. The authors point out that despite years of research, there is still no uniform definition for post-Covid-19. Particularly noteworthy are the severe neurological symptoms such as fatigue, cognitive disorders, autonomic complaints, headaches and sleep disorders, which are often chronic. These symptoms are attributed to complex mechanisms such as inflammation, immune reactions and vascular changes.
