The book analyses the importance of gender as a determining factor in psychotherapeutical and consulting processes on differing levels of theory. It offers an overview of the status quo of international research alongside individual findings on the topic and applies this to the practical work of psychotherapy and consulting.  The book discusses phases of the process, dynamics in relationships and thematic hot spots at which gender becomes an issue for professionals and their clients. Fot the analysis of individual practice tips with an ample amount of examples, tools, and question-checklists are provided.

Dr Brigitte Schigl, MSc. heads the study course „Psychotherapie and Consulting Sciences“ with the focus Gender and Diversity at Karl Landsteiner Private University For Health Sciences; she is Professor at the Department for Psychotherapie and Biopsychosocial Health at Danube University.
