Prof. Wieser appointed as vice rector for teaching

The University Board of Karl Landsteiner Private University appointed Assoc. Prof. Dr. Manfred Wieser, MSc as Vice Rector for teaching at its 12th meeting on 13 th October.

The Vice Rector is responsible for undergraduate teaching at KL University and also integrates the former dean of studies office. In addition to medium-term planning of university teaching, he also devotes himself to the development and implementation of degree programmes, continuing education programmes, teaching research and teaching cooperation. 
 
Born in Lower Austria, Prof. Wieser received his doctorate in 2002 from the University of Vienna and subsequently completed his training as a specialist in internal medicine and cardiology. He played a key role in developing the medical degree programme at KL University and has been the head of the Bachelor's and Master's programmes since 2013. He will continue to work as the head of the master's programme in human medicine and as a lecturer in medical studies, at the IMC Krems University of Applied Sciences and the University of Vienna.
