MATERIALITY AND AGEING
Recent Publication
A current book chapter with the participation of the Department of Gerontology and Health Research (Ass.-Prof. Dr. Verena Gallistl BA MA) sheds light on the role of materiality in the ageing process. Ageing is understood not only as a biological or individual process, but also as an interplay between people, objects and their environment. The authors show how objects, technologies and spaces are actively involved in how ageing is experienced and shaped. Central concepts such as embodied experiences, social practices and temporal dimensions are rethought.
