International ERASMUS+ student group from BORG Krems visits KL

As part of a project meeting of an international ERASMUS+ student group from 1 to 8 December 2024 at the BORG Krems, around 50 students and teachers from Krakow, Buxtehude, Assisi and Budapest as well as the BORG Krems visited the Karl Landsteiner University of Health Sciences.

In addition to a tour of the university buildings at KL Krems, the programme for the project group included a presentation on the project topic "Log off Tour brain - live in the world, not on the internet". Sylvia Dörfler, research associate at the Research Center Transitional Psychiatry at KL Krems, presented some exciting projects and results from the last few years of scientific work.

The content of the presentation referred to the objectives of the ERASMUS+ project, which is looking at the effects of the use of smartphones and social media on the adolescent brain, among other things. As part of the ERASMUS+ project, BORG Krems, which has been an educational cooperation partner of KL Krems since this year, is addressing the issue of loneliness and isolation among young people in connection with digital media. The lecture provided impulses for further discussions. We wish the international group of students every success in their future project work.
