Gudrun Kreye elected new president of the Austrian Palliative Care Society (OPG)

During the spring conference of the OeGHO (Austrian Society for Haematologists and Oncologists) and AHOP (Working Group of Haematological and Oncological Nurses in Austria) on 25 April 2025, the General Meeting of the Austrian Palliative Care Society (OPG) took place – with a significant change at the top.

Priv.-Doz. Dr. Gudrun Kreye, MBA, senior physician in the Clinical Department of Internal Medicine 2 at Krems University Hospital and organisational head of palliative medicine, was unanimously elected as the new president of the OPG. She brings with her many years of experience and great commitment in the field of palliative medicine. Manuela Wasl, MSc, was appointed 1st Vice-President and Dr Dietmar Weixler, MSc, 2nd Vice-President.
