Glioblastoma in the real-world setting : patterns of care and outcome in the Austrian population
Recent publication
A multicentre study in Austria is investigating the treatment patterns and outcomes of glioblastoma patients newly diagnosed between 2014 and 2018. The results show that standard treatment was largely successful, with younger patients in particular benefiting from early and comprehensive treatment. For patients with advanced disease, however, the treatment approaches were very different. The article was published open access in the ‘Journal of Neuro-Oncology’. Prim. Assoc. Prof. PD Dr Stefan Oberndorfer FEAN and Dr Bernadette Calabek-Wohinz from the Clinical Department of Neurology at St. Pölten University Hospital played a key role in this publication.
