General practitioner scholarship
On 26th June, the submission deadline for the General practitioner scholarship has started.
In order to strengthen the healthcare system in Lower Austria, the state of Lower Austria will continue to support students of human medicine from the 5th semester onwards in the 2024/25 academic year who undertake to work as a general practitioner for at least 5 years in a region of the province of Lower Austria after completing their postgraduate training.
In accordance with the official funding guidelines, the Lower Austrian rural doctor's scholarship currently amounts to 977 euros per month from the coming winter semester.
