Building capacity to deploy the EEHRxF and digital health services and systems to support the rights of citizens and reuse of health data under EHDS

Funding info

With the European Health Data Space (EHDS), the EU is driving forward the development of a common European health data space - a new call in the Digital Europe Programme is now providing targeted support for practical implementation. The focus is on building the capacity of authorities, healthcare providers and data holders to implement digital health services, data use and patient rights in technical and organisational terms. Particular emphasis is placed on the standardisation of health data (EEHRxF) and the processing of data for secondary use, for example for research and innovation. Funding will be provided to a large-scale consortium that supports and coordinates smaller projects throughout Europe via a cascading funding model. The submission deadline is 1 October 2026.
