Bridging Artificial Intelligence and Care—Smart Assistive Technologies for Long-Term Care
Recent Publication
A recent book contribution from the Department of Gerontology and Health Research shows how artificial intelligence (AI) can support long-term care. The focus is on technologies such as fall sensors and social robots, which are intended to make everyday life easier for older people. At the same time, the work makes it clear that the use of AI also brings with it ethical and practical challenges. It is crucial to actively involve older people and carergivers in the development and application of these technologies.
