A new study from the Division of Internal Medicine 2 at St. Pölten University Hospital has investigated whether doctors in training can recognise small polyps in the colon just as well as experienced experts with the help of artificial intelligence (AI). The result was: When the young doctors used a special AI system for support, their diagnosis was almost as reliable as that of the experts.
