Association between depression and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease : a cross-sectional analysis from the paracelsus 10,000 Study
Recent Publication
A recent study shows that depressive symptoms are associated with a certain form of fatty liver disease (MASLD) - regardless of other risk factors such as lifestyle or medication. The data comes from the Paracelsus 10,000 study with over 7400 participants. Researchers found that people with depressive symptoms are more frequently affected by MASLD. The results suggest that mental health should be considered in the early detection and prevention of liver disease.
