Algorithms in Allergy : General Allergen Molecule-Based Algorithm for Allergen-Specific Immunotherapy

Recent Publication

A recent publication from the field of molecular allergology shows how modern diagnostics can improve the selection of allergen immunotherapy. With the help of a new algorithm, individual allergen components are specifically analysed in order to identify the allergens that actually cause the disease. This makes it easier to differentiate between a genuine sensitisation or just a cross-reaction. This more precise diagnosis can help clinicians to select the right therapy more individually and effectively.
